Center Nursery School was founded in 1956 as a locally operated non-profit school for residents of South Hadley. Today we continue to thrive in the community, as well as surrounding communities, serving many of the same families we did in our early years. Many children attend Center Nursery School today because their mother or father attended when they were children!

 

We are proud to carry on a fine tradition of quaility community care. Our teaching staff is dedicated to the philosophy that "Play" is a child's work. Center Nursery School has created an environment where children can express themselves and experiment through teacher directed, theme related activities as well as free-play. The use of the "Golden Rule" (to treat others as you would like to be treated) is key to our program and is encouraged throughout the day. 

 

Our program is based on meeting the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive need of children between the ages of 2 years 9 months to 6 years, keeping in mind that all children develop at their own pace. 

 

The Center Nursery School staff is Early Education Care ( EEC) qualified and experienced in bringing years of experience in teaching nursery and preschool programs. Our assistants are chosen for their dedication to the care of our students and their commitment to enhancing the learning experience.
